Complete your gift with a bottle of wine (75 cl) of your choice. Choose from a Tempranillo (13.5% vol) or a Sauvignon Blanc (12.5% vol), from valencia, Spain. The unique designs are created in collaboration with a young Barcelona designer.

Bewust geproduceerd.

Wist je dat maar liefst 94% van de wijndruiven wordt bespoten met gif? Dat moet duurzamer, vinden ze bij Neleman. Daarom maken zij 100% biologische, vegan wijnen, waarbij de focus ligt op de gezondheid van de bodem, de planten en uiteraard de consument. Duurzaamheid gaat echter verder dan alleen biologische wijn. Neleman zet zich in voor een circulaire economie door gebruik te maken van hernieuwbare en gerecycleerde materialen. Zo wordt hun wijn afgesloten met kurk, een duurzaam en hernieuwbaar product, terwijl de etiketten zijn gemaakt van gerecycled papier en bio-inkt. Bovendien kiezen ze voor lichte, lokaal geproduceerde flessen om verpakkingsafval te minimaliseren en de CO2-uitstoot te verlagen. Dit helpt aan een toekomst waarin minder verspilling en meer hergebruik centraal staan.

Minimale CO2.

Neleman gaat verder dan alleen het produceren van duurzame wijnen; ze zijn actief bezig met het minimaliseren van hun CO2-uitstoot. In samenwerking met Oatly (bekend van de haverdrank) is Neleman de uitdaging aangegaan om de carbon footprint van hun wijnen te meten. Deze cijfers zijn transparant en te vinden op de etiketten van hun flessen, zodat consumenten bewust kunnen kiezen. Om hun impact verder te verkleinen, compenseert Neleman deze voetafdruk door zich in te zetten voor het aanplanten van nieuwe bomen en verantwoord bosbeheer. Ze gebruiken daarnaast gerecycled materiaal in hun verpakkingen en zetten in op CO2-reductie door slimme keuzes in het productieproces. 

Naast de wijnproductie is Neleman ook actief op het gebied van duurzame bedrijfsvoering. In de regio Zutphen bezorgen ze zelf met een elektrische bus en delen ze hun transport zo duurzaam mogelijk in. Het kantoor van Neleman is nieuw en volledig duurzaam, met onder andere zonnepanelen en een warmtepomp. Bovendien legt 90% van het team zijn of haar woon-werkverkeer af per fiets of openbaar vervoer. Elke stap, van de wijngaard tot het kantoor, draagt bij aan een duurzamere wereld.

Lokaal geregeld.

Neleman produceert de wijnen in eigen wijngaarden, gelegen in het prachtige natuurpark en UNESCO-gebied Hoces del Cabriel in Valencia, Spanje. Met een sterke focus op duurzaamheid werkt Neleman biologisch en zijn de wijnen EKO-gecertificeerd, wat betekent dat ze zonder kunstmest of pesticiden worden geteeld en voldoen aan strenge milieueisen. Door gebruik te maken van hun eigen wijngaarden kunnen ze de kwaliteit van de wijnen nauwkeurig controleren en tegelijkertijd de lokale gemeenschap ondersteunen door werkgelegenheid te creëren in het kleine dorp Casas del Rey. Door de productie dichtbij de bron te houden, minimaliseren ze de ecologische impact en dragen we bij aan de economische groei van de regio.
