Sinds 2013 is Tony’s officieel B Corp-gecertificeerd, en bij de laatste keuring scoorden ze maar liefst 125 punten – hun hoogste score ooit! Daar zijn ze natuurlijk megatrots op.

Bewust geproduceerd.

Bij Tony’s Chocolonely staat bewust produceren centraal. Zo is de cacao 100% traceerbaar, omdat ze direct samenwerken met coöperaties in Ghana en Côte d’Ivoire. Daarnaast kiezen ze voor ingrediënten en materialen die zo min mogelijk schadelijk zijn voor het milieu. De verpakkingen zijn duurzaam vormgegeven, waarbij ze overbodige lagen en materialen vermijden om afval te reduceren. Zo dragen ze actief bij aan een bewustere en milieuvriendelijkere productieketen.

Minimale CO2.

Tony’s werkt klimaatneutraal: van de cacaoboon tot de reep in jouw hand. Ze gebruiken duurzame energie in hun productieproces en compenseren alle uitstoot die ze niet kunnen vermijden. Bovendien houden ze via satellietmonitoring bij of er geen ontbossing plaatsvindt, waardoor ze de CO2-voetafdruk tot wel 95% lager houden dan de rest van de industrie.

Langdurig plezier.

Hoogwaardige ingrediënten en een slim productieproces zorgen ervoor dat je extra lang kunt genieten van Tony’s chocolade. En als een reep niet meer aan de THT-normen voldoet? Dan gaat ‘ie via Too Good To Go of de Voedselbank alsnog naar een goede bestemming.

Sociaal verantwoord.

Tony’s strijdt tegen ongelijkheid in de cacao-industrie. Ze gaan verder dan Fairtrade en werken actief samen met boeren in Ghana en Côte d’Ivoire om kinderarbeid te verminderen, lonen te verbeteren en een transparante productieketen te garanderen. Door langetermijnsamenwerkingen aan te gaan en boeren eerlijk te betalen, helpen ze hen aan een leefbaar inkomen en bouwen ze samen aan een toekomst zonder uitbuiting.
