Bewust geproduceerd.

Royal Swinkels brouwt bier met aandacht voor mens en planeet. In 2023 én 2024 werden ze uitgeroepen tot meest duurzame brouwerij ter wereld. Dat zie je terug in hun productie: mout uit de eerste emissievrije mouterij, lokaal gebrouwen bier en 100% recyclebare verpakkingen. Hun doel? In 2025 volledig overstappen op duurzaam materiaal. Dunnere blikken, lichtere flessen en papieren verpakkingen – kleine aanpassingen, grote impact. Daarnaast komt 70% van hun teelt al uit duurzame landbouw, gecertificeerd door het Sustainable Agriculture Initiative (SAI).

Minimale CO2.

Minder uitstoot, meer impact. Royal Swinkels wil in 2050 volledig klimaatneutraal zijn. Dat doen ze slim: ze meten hun voortgang met de Swinkels Circularity Index (SCI) en zijn aangesloten bij het Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Nu al hebben ze 37% minder CO2-uitstoot door warmtepompen, efficiënter energiegebruik en een slimme warmwaterbuffer. Vanaf 2024 draait hun mouterij in Eemshaven volledig emissievrij! Ook in transport pakken ze het handig aan: 40% minder uitstoot door meer vervoer via spoor en water en efficiëntere routes.

Langdurig plezier.

Duurzaam genieten begint bij slim omgaan met grondstoffen. Royal Swinkels zet vol in op circulaire productie. Ze gebruiken water efficiënter, zuiveren afvalwater en geven het schoon terug aan de natuur. Ook schakelen ze steeds meer over op hernieuwbare energie, zoals zonne-energie en biogas. Minder verspilling, meer hergebruik – zo blijft de wereld een beetje mooier.

Lokaal geregeld.

Bier smaakt gewoon beter als het van dichtbij komt. Daarom brouwt Royal Swinkels zoveel mogelijk lokaal, samen met en voor de gemeenschap. Minder transport, minder uitstoot en meer verbinding.

Sociaal verantwoord.

Duurzaamheid gaat verder dan het milieu. Royal Swinkels zorgt goed voor de mensen achter het bier. Ze zetten zich in voor eerlijke arbeidsrechten en een veilige, gezonde werkomgeving in de hele keten. Want goed zorgen voor de wereld begint bij goed zorgen voor elkaar.
